ProspectV by MRU is an image exploration tool which allows the user to dynamically explore standard 2D images with pans, zooms and rotations controlled by a text script. The output is a full resolution video which is not recorded in advance but instead is generated in real-time by the 3D video card of the host computer.

The technology on which the program is based allows the user to work on very compact presentation files (of the size of an email attachment). It also helps reducing the costs of developing image-based documentaries. The versatility of the virtual camera controlled by means of a script enables the director to obtain detailed and complex shots which would be near to impossible in the making with traditional video recording equipment. Additional multimedia features include sound and music support, making it ideal for presentations and museum installations.

ProspectV is now available for MS Windows 2000/XP.
